Early public edition; verification in progress

This guide is published for information and feedback while independent medical and respiratory review, supplier confirmation, and manual browser and assistive-technology testing remain pending. Research candidates and planning allowances are not confirmed protective systems or promises of accessibility. Obtain appropriate professional advice and supplier confirmation before relying on consequential recommendations. Report concerns through the contact page or protestsupplyguide@proton.me.

Educational information; no professional relationship

This site and its owners and authors are not medical or legal professionals. The guide provides general educational information, not individualized medical or legal advice, diagnosis, treatment, legal representation or a professional safety assessment. Consult appropriately qualified professionals about your health, local law and circumstances.

Medical clearance and respirator fit testing

Before using a reusable respirator or gas mask recommended here, obtain medical clearance through an evaluation by a physician or other licensed healthcare professional. Before relying on any tight-fitting respirator for protection, pass an appropriate fit test administered by a competent tester for the exact make, model, style and size you will wear. Ask the tester to select the protocol appropriate to the required protection; full-face protection may require quantitative testing. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and perform a user seal check each time you put it on. A breathing check, “pull test,” strap tug or seal check does not replace a fit test. These are safety conditions of this guide, drawing on occupational best practice; workplace regulations do not automatically apply to every instance of personal use.

Peaceful, lawful activity

This site and its owners and authors do not advocate or condone illegal or violent activities. Recommendations are intended for peaceful, lawful protest, personal safety and community support. Protective equipment is not an invitation to approach a hazard, confront others or handle deployed canisters or flares.

Risk, responsibility and limits of liability

Activities, equipment use and purchasing decisions carry risks, including serious injury. No product, certification, review or recommendation guarantees safety, anonymity or legal protection. You are responsible for your decisions, lawful conduct, training, equipment selection, fit and use. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the site and its owners and authors disclaim warranties and responsibility or liability for consequences, injury, loss or damage arising from activities undertaken while using or relying on this guide or the recommended gear. Nothing in this notice excludes liability or rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

Respirator sources

Medical evaluation, fit testing and a user seal check are separate steps. Discuss your health and intended use with a licensed healthcare professional; ask a competent fit tester to choose the correct protocol.
